Azam Khan, a powerful batsman for Pakistan, scored his first T20 century while playing for Khulna Tigers in the Bangladesh Premier League match against Chattogram Challengers (BPL).
Tigers were able to score 178-5 in 20 overs thanks to Azam’s 109 not out off 58 balls, which helped him take the lead for his team. The right-handed hitter hit eight maximums and nine boundaries his route to a stunning hundred.
Azam shown his strength and continued to be worthy of the Tigers despite a subpar Lanka Premier League (LPL) season the previous year. He played for the Galle Gladiators in the LPL, scoring just 30 runs in five innings.
He was struck during one of the games of LPL, which is how he also sustained an injury.
Azam Khan is keen to rejoin the Pakistani team, it should be mentioned.
Azam played his first T20 match for Pakistan in July 2021 in Nottingham against England. He was, however, removed from the team after only six runs in three games.
“I’m satisfied with my performance after playing in leagues around the world,” Azam said last month.
“I’m always eager to play for the national team and it is now up to the selectors to select me. I will try to perform well if I’m selected to play for Pakistan,” he added.
