Famous Indian sportswriter Vikrant Gupta praised former Pakistani cricketer Urooj Mumtaz for her expertise in commentary.
After leaving the sport of cricket, Urooj held a few positions with the PCB, including top selector for the national women’s team, before transitioning into a full-time commentary role.
Urooj eventually earned praise as a commentator after initially receiving criticism.
A renowned Indian writer named Gupta praised the cricketer-turned-commentator on Twitter after being impressed by her work.

From 2014 to 2010, Urooj played for Pakistan in nine Twenty20 matches, 38 ODIs, and one Test match.
She made history in October 2020 when she was the first female commentator for a men’s ODI cricket match between Pakistan and Zimbabwe in Rawalpindi.
