KARACHI: The commissioner of Karachi has imposed a ban on pillion riding on motorbikes in Karachi in wake of New Year 2023 celebrations in the city.

The ban has been imposed in order to tighten security measures regarding the new year celebrations.

A notification has been issued in this regard and the ban has become effective immediately that will continue till midnight on January 1, 2023.

It is also said that strict action will be taken against violators.

Not only this, there will be a strict ban on carrying or displaying arms in the city on the eve.

“The display and use of arms and fireworks will remain banned under the order,” the notification read.
