ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif has met Foreign Minister (FM) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari ahead of the NSC session called by the premier to discuss the soaring terrorism in the country.
Sources in the know said that the meeting between the two discussed foreign affairs and the collective security situation of the country post-terror attacks.
PM Shehbaz Sharif and Bilawal Bhutto also exchange views on the economic and political situation of Pakistan. The foreign minister also briefed the premier regarding his recent visit to the United States (US).
On the other hand, the NSC meeting is to be commenced soon under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
The meeting has been called to review the policies related to security and will also underscore the reasons behind soaring terrorism in Pakistan.
High-level civil and military officials will be attending the meeting to scrutinize the factors behind the increase in terrorist incidents in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
There will also be a briefing on the current situation of negotiations with the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan and the implementation of past agreements.
