During a break-in at her Australian house, a British woman was fatally stabbed.

Emma Lovell, 41, a native of the Ipswich region, passed away on Boxing Day night after fending off burglars at her North Lakes, Brisbane, home, according to police.

Lee Lovell, her 43-year-old husband, who was also stabbed, called his wife the “glue to our family.”

Murder charges have been filed against two 17-year-old boys.

Mr. Lovell told reporters that his family was “devastated” despite the fact that his injuries weren’t life-threatening.

He said, “Emma was the centre of our family.”

She was a truly lovely lady. She left us and we are all absolutely crushed.

“It makes no sense. I’m not sure why people do it.

Two daughters belong to the Lovells.

On Christmas Day, Mr. Lovell, who is also from the Ipswich region, posted pictures of the group at a Sunshine Coast beach close by on social media.

A dispute started inside a residence in Whitfield Crescent around 23:30 UTC, according to a statement from the Queensland Police Service (QPS), and it “went outside to the front yard.”

According to the report, “investigators, with the assistance of the dog squad, identified four youths at a nearby site just before 04:00” on December 27. “Two offenders fled on foot before to police arrival,” it stated.

According to the QPS, two 17-year-old lads, one from Holland Park and the other from Zillmere, were charged with one count each of murder, attempted murder, and breaking into a house with the intent to commit a crime in company.

Both were scheduled to appear before the Brisbane Children’s Court but were denied police bail.

According to the force, two boys, ages 16 and 17, are still assisting police with their investigations.
