King Charles ignores Meghan, Harry in first Christmas speech

  • The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were not specifically mentioned by Charles III.
  • He expressed his disgust inaudibly at individuals who insulted them.
  • The Monarch also discussed the “great anxiety and hardship” people were going through.

In his first Christmas Day speech, King Charles III completely dissed Meghan Markle and Prince Harry by failing to name them while praising those who “touch with goodness and compassion the lives of others.”

The 74-year-old new monarch of Britain paid tribute to the late Queen’s legacy throughout his address, recalling her trust in the ability of “everlasting light” for people to make a difference in other people’s lives.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were not specifically mentioned by Charles III, but he expressed his disgust inaudibly at individuals who insulted them and made their lives unpleasant for them.

The Monarch also discussed the “great anxiety and hardship” that many people were going through. The King rose above the controversy during his moving Christmas speech by omitting all mention of Harry and Meghan. Instead, he concentrated on the country as a whole.

King Charles made it clear in his Christmas greeting that he would pay attention to the good deeds carried out not only by his family but, perhaps more significantly, by the country as a whole.

The King mentioned his younger son Harry and his wife Meghan Markle in his first speech to the nation in September, just hours after Queen Elizabeth II passed away. He said: “I want also to express my love for Harry and Meghan as they continue to build their lives overseas.”
