ISLAMABAD: Following the political situation in Punjab, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif contacted Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Supremo Nawaz Sharif over the phone.
Sources in the know informed that Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif discussed the political situation in Punjab.
It was also said that the premier briefed Nawaz Sharif regarding the meetings with Asif Ali Zardari and Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain.
Meanwhile, the PML-N supremo issued instructions regarding the rising political heat in the province.
Earlier, the PM consulted PPP’s Asif Ali Zardari regarding the vote of confidence issue.
Apart from this, Governor Punjab Baligh ur Rehman also contacted Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and consulted on the ruling of Speaker Sibatin Khan.
Sources said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif ordered Governor Balighur Rehman for legal consultation.
It is pertinent to mention here that Governor Punjab has summoned a Punjab Assembly session for a vote of confidence.
Speaker Punjab Assembly while terming the move unconstitutional issued a ruling against it.
