- “Imran Khan is taking difficult decisions (including of fresh elections).”
- People would elect PTI again in fresh elections, he said.
- Khanzada said, “Pakistan is getting isolated on the world stage.”
LAHORE: Only fresh elections can help address the challenges of Pakistan’s embattled economy and bring long-term stability to the country, Senator Zeeshan Khanzada has said.
He said that dissolving assemblies was not an easy decision to make and was unprecedented in Pakistan. “No leader in Pakistan has taken such a bold decision of dissolving its assemblies,” Senator Khanzada said.
“If Imran Khan is taking these difficult decisions, it is only to safeguard the future of Pakistan against further destruction,” he said, adding that a fresh election is the only way things can be turned around and stability guaranteed in the country.

Khanzada is confident that keeping the popularity and credibility of the Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) and Imran Khan in view, the people of Pakistan would elect the PTI again overwhelmingly and the party would form the new government.
Responding to those asking what would change with a new government in charge, Senator Khanzada said: “When fresh elections happen, world bodies such as IMF and others tend to find common ground with a new government because of policy continuity during the tenure of the government,” he said. According to him, no one would be willing to do a deal with a government that has only six months to go.
On Pakistan’s relations with the outside world, Khanzada said, “We are getting isolated on the world stage, and Pakistan’s voice is not being heard.”
On September 3, PTI Chairman Imran Khan had said the only remedy to the economic crisis and bring political stability in the country was conducting fresh elections.
