LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan presided over an important consultative meeting ahead of announcing the dissolution of the Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood senior party leaders were present in the meeting held at Imran Khan’s residence in Zaman Park.
The meeting was attended by senior PTI leadership including Vice President Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Fawad Chaudhry, Parvez Khattak, Shibli Faraz, and Ali Amin Gandapur.
In a tweet after the meeting, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi said they discussed the dissolution of the provincial assemblies. He said Imran Khan will announce the decision with the chief ministers of both provinces present with him.
The chief minister is expected to meet the PTI chief again at 7 PM before the final announcement regarding the dissolution will be made.
Former federal minister and PML-Q leader Moonis Elahi said they discussed the situation with Imran Khan and PTI leadership. He said they firmly stand behind Imran Khan.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has decided to move a no-confidence motion against Punjab Chief Minister Parvez Elahi and Punjab Assembly Speaker Muhammad Sibtain Khan.
Nearly 106 PML-N members were present at Rana Mashood residence where they signed the resoltion. PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif also accented to filing the no-trust motion ahead of the dissolution of the provincial assembly.
