In 2018, Prince Harry married Meghan Markle in a royal ceremony, and the prince thanked King Charles for helping him prepare. According to Prince Harry, the king was responsible for important wedding song selections.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex revealed that King Charles was crucial to their 2018 royal wedding, including leading Meghan down the aisle without her own father, Thomas Markle, in the fourth episode of their Netflix series Harry & Meghan.
Meghan explicitly mentioned the song Prince Harry had chosen for her as she walked down the aisle to him, saying: “You (Prince Harry) chose the song I walked down the aisle to. Which was stunning. So beautiful.”
“My father (King Charles) helped us choose an orchestra, which made all the difference,” Prince Harry responded in response.
The gospel choir that performed at their wedding was discussed later in the programme by Prince Harry and Meghan, with Prince Harry stating,“There wasn’t too much pushback on that… Everyone was like, ‘Gospel choir, what a wonderful idea. That’s great!’”
“And again, more help from my dad (Charles) on that one,” Harry continued.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s sweet remarks are a breath of fresh air after their infamous feud with the Royal Family, particularly with King Charles, his wife Camilla, and brother Prince William.
