‘Harry & Meghan’ shines on Netflix as biggest documentary debut

The first portion of the Prince Harry and Meghan Markle documentary called “Harry and Meghan” was the biggest documentary debut on Netflix ever.

According to a spokesman, the documentary’s four-day debut had the most viewers of any documentary during its premiere week with 81.55 million hours watched by more than 28 million homes.

Between Dec. 5 and Dec. 11, “Harry & Meghan” surpassed “Wednesday,” the Addams Family drama, as the second most watched English-language Netflix series internationally. The top English-language television show in Britain for the week was “Harry & Meghan.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex revealed a lot in the first three episodes, with Meghan recounting her first death threat and Harry joking about dressing up on dates.

In time for Prince William and Kate Middleton’s arrival in the US for the award ceremony for the Earthshot Prize, the first three segments of the documentary were made available.

Following their resignation from their royal duties, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex now reside in California with their two children.
