- Kyle Walker has stated that he will “not put out a red carpet” for Kylian Mbappe during Sunday’s quarterfinal

In the quarterfinal, the two dominant teams will square off in their first knockout encounter at a significant competition.
Walker promised not to hold back against Mbappe, who has the most goals in the competition with five, prior to the match.
Walker said, “I know what I need to do, and that is to stop him. “Although it’s easier said than done, I don’t think less of myself. He is in excellent shape and a tremendous player. It won’t be simple, but as a professional football player, you want to compete against the best, and at the moment, I believe he is at least one of the best in the world.”
Walker is accustomed to playing against Mbappe because he did so in the previous two UEFA Champions League campaigns while representing Manchester City against Paris Saint-Germain.
Walker and Mbappe faced off three times, with City winning two and losing one. Mbappe has conceded that facing Walker was challenging.
