Meghan Markle, Prince Harry lose support of Archewell president

  • The president of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s foundation, Mandana Dayani, resigned from her position.
  • Dayani is one of at least 13 employees who have left Archewell since 2018.
  • The couple will now “fully” lead the company on their own.

Following the resignation of the president of their Archewell foundation this past weekend, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry lost the backing of a trusted adviser last week.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will now “fully” lead their business on their own, a representative for the couple told The Daily Mail, after Mandana Dayani, 40, resigned from her position as President of Archewell.

The worldwide press secretary for Meghan and Harry, Ashley Hansen, said in a statement on Saturday, December 3, that Dayani “has been a vital part of Archewell and we are grateful for her passion, devotion, and leadership.”

Hansen’s statement continued: “Her transition was mutually planned, with intent for the Duke and Duchess to now take full lead of their company. There will be no replacement for this position, and Ms Dayani is fully supportive of the Duke and Duchess in their new leadership roles, and they remain friends.”

Dayani worked at Archewell for almost 18 months before abruptly resigning. This was especially true given that it happened just a few days before the premiere of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s upcoming Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan.

The Daily Mail reports that Dayani is one of at least 13 employees of Archewell who have left the company since 2018.
