KARACHI: Police on Sunday carried out raid on a tip-off, provided by an intelligence agency, in Shah Latif Town area of Karachi and arrested two alleged terrorists, Bol News reported.

Police have identified the suspects as Waryam Khan and Zarak Khan. A hand-grenade, weapon, mobile phone and stolen motorcycle have been recovered from the suspected terrorists.

Police claimed that the suspects were involved in bomb blast on railway track near Jacobabad. “They were nominated in the blast incident, hence wanted by police,” said the police.

On December 3, a terrorist commander was killed by security forces in North Waziristan District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to a statement by Inter-Services Public Relations, the fire exchange had taken place between terrorists and troops in Shewa area of North Waziristan District on December 2.

During intense exchange of fire, notorious terrorist commander Muhammad Noor alias Sarakai was killed by security forces. Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the killed terrorist.

The military’s press wing had said the terrorist remained actively involved in high-profile terror activities against security forces as well as kidnapping for ransom and was highly wanted by Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) in multiple cases.
