The Judicial Activism Panel has written a letter to the President and the Prime Minister regarding the case of journalist Arshad Sharif – who was killed in Kenya.
The letter was written concerning the issue of not registering the case of senior journalist Arshad Sharif, not forming a judicial commission, and not referring to the International Court of Justice.
Azhar Sadiq, the head of the Judicial Activism Panel, sent a letter to the President and the Prime Minister.
The text of the letter from the Judicial Activism Panel said that a transparent investigation into the incident is a legal requirement. Registration of FIR is the basic step for the detection of crime.
It was said that Kenya’s government has been badly exposed. The matter is sensitive and requires investigation to be referred to the International Court of Justice.
The letter also holds that if the legal requirement is not met then the judiciary will be approached.
