Horrifying footage shows a herd of buffaloes swarming on an elderly lion.
Three days after the attack, the lion died.

A video of an old lion being trampled by a herd of buffaloes has gone popular on the internet. Deon Kelbrick, an Instagram user who documented his safari with a group of visitors, posted a video of the incident.
The buffaloes in the video charge the elderly cat with their horns, killing it. The video’s description says, “Dark Mane Avoca male lion gets caught in between a herd of buffalo and fights for his life.”

The older male lion was injured and unable to escape the stampede in time as the pride tried to kill a herd of buffalo, according to the caption.

It took around 15 minutes for the rest of the pride to come to the help of the old lion, Dark Mane Avoca, who had been thrown around and trampled.

Three days after the attack, the photographer revealed to the Internet in a comment that the lion had died.

In excess of 1.5 million people have watched the video on Instagram. Users on social media platforms were devastated by the lion’s tragic ending. Concerns regarding the lion’s health were voiced by many. After reading what one user had to say, “Wow, those buffaloes really came at you, Deon. It hurt to see that he made it through it all. I was wondering if there was any word on how Dark Mane was doing. After the assault, he didn’t appear to be in great shape.”

“Ugh, I can’t even begin to fathom how difficult it must have been to watch this unfold in front of you and your visitors. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that he’ll be okay, despite the grim prognosis. We appreciate you taking the time to share, “that was what the second author said.

“What’s the matter, why isn’t anyone helping him While it’s true that nature is nature, the buffaloes weren’t interested in eating him so much as killing him. Remember, there are humans in the area, and the lion is tiring out “Someone else chimed in for the conversation.
As the fourth member of our group put it, “very heartbreaking to behold. however nothing stirs up the feelings like the wild in all its raw emotion.”
