Luke Wright is named selector for England’s men

  • Luke Wright, a former English cricketer, has been named team selector for the men’s squad
  • Wright was given the increased role in light of his experience, according to a Tuesday release

He will choose the teams for England’s white and red ball matches as well as the Lions and Young Lions teams.

Ed Smith, who last chose England’s team for the Test series in Pakistan, was replaced by the former all-rounder.

End of this month, England will embark on its second tour of the year when it visits Pakistan.

Three tests will be played by the English team, one each in Rawalpindi, Multan, and Karachi. They are currently training in Abu Dhabi before heading to Pakistan.
