Boston Prepares to Welcome Kate Middleton and Prince William

Boston gets ready to welcome Kate and William.

The Prince of Wales started the Earthshot Prize to find ways to heal the world and help them grow. On Dec. 2, the second annual awards show will take place in Boston. After saying that the event would be held near Fenway Park at the MGM Music Hall, the organisers posted photos of Earthshot Prize ads that showed the stadium.

After saying that the second Earthshot Prize event will be in the U.S., Prince William confirmed that they would be in Boston in July, on the 53rd anniversary of the moon landing. The Earthshot Prize encourages important environmental solutions. It was inspired by President John F. Kennedy’s (Moonshot) goal of landing on the moon in 10 years.

Kate and Prince William, both 40, will honour Boston’s efforts to fight climate change and build a sustainable future.

In 2014, they visited New York. First trip since then. Prince and princess honeymooned in Los Angeles in 2011.

Earthshot Prize finalists were announced last week. Prince William, Queen Rania of Jordan, Cate Blanchett, Sir David Attenborough, Indra Nooyi, and Jack Ma chose the winners. Earthshot will give each programme $1 million and advice.

“I’m excited to celebrate with these 15 Finalists in Boston,” he said. Kennedy believed we can reach impossible goals with ideas, creativity, and optimism.
