Babar Azam wants to play for Peshawar Zalmi after leaving Karachi Kings on Friday (PSL).
Azam tweeted a greeting to his Karachi followers.
“It’s been a wonderful journey with Karachi Kings. Thank you, KK [Karachi Kings] management and players. I am grateful for all the love, support, and lessons and wish you the very best,” Azam tweeted on Saturday.
“To all Karachi fans, aap hamare the or hamesha rahayn ge [you have always been close to me and it will stay that way in the future],” he added.

Babar Azam will also play for Zalmi next season.
Zalmi traded Haider Ali and Shoaib Malik to Karachi Kings in the Platinum and Diamond categories, respectively, for Babar in the Platinum category and the first choice in the extra round.
The right-hander has 2413 runs in 68 PSL games. Last season, Kings, led by Azam, lost nine PSL matches. The draught for PSL 2023 is expected in November 2022.
Defending champions Lahore Qalandars will make the first draught pick, according to the PCB.
Quetta Gladiators and Multan Sultans will pick next. Karachi Kings and Islamabad United pick fourth and fifth. Peshawar Zalmi picks sixth. The next 17 rounds were determined by stats.
From 9 February to 19 March 2023, the event will take held in Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Multan.
