After seeing a photo of their grandfather from the World War II era in which they believe he is carrying a mobile phone, the two brothers assume he is a time traveller.

In a video that has nearly 16,000 likes, a TikTok user claims their ancestor was like “Captain America,” with a young soldier carrying an object that resembled an iPhone.

The user’s name is Jimmy the Filmmaker, and he shared the video on his 10,000-follower account, which has sparked debate on whether it’s true or not, according to the sources.

“It’s a mirror, typically used to flash Morse code,” one spectator said, dismissing Jimmy’s absurd claims.

Another commenter concurred with the sceptic, claiming that the object was not an iPhone but rather a military shaving mirror, as the soldier in the shot also had a towel over his shoulder and a container of water.

However, Jimmy was not without supporters, with one user noting that “all of the technologies we use today existed thousands of years before.”

While Jimmy has drawn a lot of attention to his situation, he is not the only one who claims to have seen time travellers.
