KARACHI: The start of the winter season will be from the last week of November this year, as predicted by the Meteorological Department.

The details maintained that the winters will begin at the end of November and the decrease in day and night temperature will increase the intensity of cold in Karachi.

Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfaraz said that this year the city is likely to experience colder weather than the previous year. At least three cold waves will hit the city in December.

Apart from this, the report also predicts the possibility of record-breaking cold weather in the city this year.

On the other hand, citizens have been witnessing unannounced gas outages in all major areas.

The beginning of the winter season brought suffering for the Karachiites as many areas in the city have been facing low or no supply of gas during peak hours.

In the areas of Landhi, Sarjani, North Karachi, Manghopir, Site, Baldia and Orangi, the citizens are worried due to very low gas pressure and have been forced to use gas cylinders.
