After taking over the official role from Prince Harry on Saturday at the Rugby League World Cup Quarterfinal, Kate Middleton stole the show as she supported England to victory.

The men’s and women’s teams from England were congratulated by the Princess of Wales after their victories.

With a burgundy knit pleated skirt, £2,990 custom coat, and £420 pearl earrings, Kate, 41, looked stunning. She had her trademark loose waves in her brown hair and was holding an umbrella to protect her from the rain.

Princess Charlotte’s mother appeared to be a visitor at the game because of how fashionable she looked. Kate went to her first game as the Rugby Football League’s new patron after Prince Harry.

After both the men’s and women’s teams defeated Papua New Guinea and Canada at DW Stadium in Wigan this afternoon, Kate said she’s “proud to be their patron.”

The 40-year-old mother of three remarked, ‘I’ve loved watching the game. It’s really exciting, it’s so fast paced. It’s been really exciting, the atmosphere as well.’

She told players: ‘It’s amazing to see the women’s game being played at the same time, alongside the men’s game.’

‘I’m so in awe of all of you, you’re running day jobs as well as training, as well as family life and things like that, it’s extraordinary. You juggle everything.’
