DSP, two SHOs among five policemen martyred in Ghotki 

  • A police camp has been set up to rescue the hostages in the village of Ubauro in Ghotki where more than 150 dacoits attacked the police party last night.

GHOTKI: Five policemen including Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) and two Station House Officers (SHOs) were martyred in the Kacha area of Ubauro District Ghotki on Sunday.

According to the details, a police camp has been set up to rescue the hostages in the village of Ubauro in Ghotki where more than 150 dacoits attacked the police party last night.

During the exchange of firing between the dacoits and the police in the Kacha area of Ubauro, five policemen including DSP Abdul Malik Bhutto and two SHOs were martyred while three personnel were also injured.

During the attack on the police camp, a gang of more than 50 dacoits has taken control of the Kacha area and also blocked the entrances and exit points of the area.

It should be noted that a heavy contingent of police was dispatched to the Kacha area after attack on police camp.

In this regard, police official Aftab said that the robbers first fired a rocket at police picket and then dacoits barged into camp.

Police official Aftab further said that five officers including two SHOs and a DSP embraced martyrdom in the attack while the bodies were also kept by the robbers.

Later, the bodies of martyred police officers and personnel were handed over to the police. The dead bodies of martyred DSP and SHOs will be sent to their native cities after the funeral prayers.
