Prince Andrew cries upon hearing King Charles’ announcement

  • The Duke of York was told he could no longer perform royal duties.
  • King Charles broke the news to him just days before Queen Elizabeth II’s death.
  • The rest of the royal family will attend Remembrance Day service at The Cenotaph on November 13.

Just days before Queen Elizabeth II passed away, King Charles broke dreadful news to Prince Andrew, who was very sad.

The Duke of York was reportedly “tearful” when informed he could no longer perform his royal duties and that his public career had come to an end.

“Naive as it may sound, he always had hopes of regaining his position as a senior royal,” the source told the Mail on Sunday.

“At the meeting Charles told him that he can go off and have a good life, a nice life, but that his public life as a Royal is at an end.

“He was told: ‘You have to accept this.'”

Following the out-of-court settlement of Andrew’s civil dispute with American Virginia Giuffre, his future was altered.

The rest of the royal family will attend a Remembrance Day service at The Cenotaph on Sunday, November 13, making Andrew’s snub all the more noticeable.
