Amber Waterman was accused with kidnapping and murdering Bush, 33, in Missouri federal district court last week, according to Jamie Waterman was accused with helping his wife avoid arrest.
Amber “did illegally and deliberately kidnap, abduct, carry away, and keep Ashley Bush, for the purpose and advantage of claiming Ashley Bush’s child as the defendant’s.”
Bush, a 31-week-old Benton County, Ark. resident, was discovered dead Thursday, while her unborn baby, Valkyrie Grace Willis, was found dead a day earlier.
In the affidavit, it says that when the police met Amber and Jamie for the first time, they saw a tan Chevrolet pickup truck that matched the description of the car Bush was last seen in. Court records show that one detective saw what he thought were blood stains inside the car.
According to authorities, the pair first burnt the corpse close to their house before moving the remains to a neighbouring location and burying them there. According to court documents, the tarp was then torched after the corpse was covered in it.
Jamie agreed to lead the police to Bush’s body, according to court filings. An FBI house inspection found burned human bones.
Jame might serve 15 years, but Amber could get life or death. Last Thursday, prosecutor Nathan Smith stated, “Evil is reminded. Evil occurs. Predating pregnant women is ludicrous. It happens.”
