According to sources, six prominent foreign players have registered for the eighth draught of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
David Miller of South Africa, Jason Roy and Dawid Malan of England, Shakib Al Hasan of Bangladesh, and Dasun Shanaka and Wanindu Hasaranga of Sri Lanka are among the players who have signed up for the PSL 8 draught.
Miller and Roy’s involvement in the draught has been confirmed by the PSL on its official social media outlets.

Note that the draught is likely to occur during the third week of November, 2022.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has already announced the draught selection order, with the defending champions Lahore Qalandars selecting first.
Quetta Gladiators and Multan Sultans will have the second and third selections, respectively. Karachi Kings and Islamabad United will pick the fourth and fifth players. In the meantime, Peshawar Zalmi will select sixth.
The subsequent 17 rounds were determined by a specialised statistical technique.

The PCB has also finished the renewal process for the local player category for the upcoming season.
“The teams will now submit player relegation requests before finalising retentions. All teams are given the opportunity to satisfy a player’s base category when relegation requests are submitted. The PCB stated in a press statement that if a player’s base category is not matched, the player may be demoted to a category below his base category.
The next year’s event will be held in Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Multan, and will run from February 9 to March 19, 2023.
