LAHORE: A young man who caught the attacker that opened fire to assassinate Imran Khan has met the PTI Chairman.

Ibtisam Hassan met Imran Khan at Shaukat Khanum Hospital where the former prime minister is undergoing treatment to recover from the firing incident.

Ibtisam Hassan was overwhelmed with joy after seeing his leader. While staying in bed, Imran Khan welcomed Ibtisam and autographed a T-shirt the young man was wearing when he foiled the attack.

On this occasion, Ibtisam said his mother is also a fan of the PTI chief. Imran Khan assured him to visit their house in Wazirabad.

Ibtisham has been hailed as a hero after he caught the attacker who opened fire at PTI Chairman Imran Khan as the long march reached Wazirabad.

Ibtisam took to Twitter and said, “Thank you my captain for such an honour, I will be grateful. Your life is very important for all Pakistanis, may Allah give you a speedy recovery.”

Ibtisam earlier told media that while Imran was delivering a speech, he saw a man loading his gun and firing a shot when he jumped at the attacker and pinned him down.
