Nitham Oru Vaanam, directed by Ra. Karthik and starring Ashok Selvan, Aparna Balamurali, Ritu Varma, and Shivathmika Rajasekhar, premiered today. This Tamil film is entertaining and beautiful.
Nitham Oru Vaanam follows Arjun (Ashok Selvan), a young man with OCD who loses his fiancé. He told her not to eat roadside pani puri because it was unsanitary, so she rejected him. The bride’s cancellation depresses Arjun. His therapist recommends her book. In this book, Arjun imagines himself as Veera (Ashok Selvan) who falls in love with Meenakshi (Shivathmika) and another story about Prabha and Mathi (Ashok Selvan) (Aparna Balamurali).
Arjun must overcome depression and find happiness. He meets Pani puri lover Shubatra (Ritu Varma) on his way to happiness. When Arjun repeats what he told his fiancé, who left him for another man, she shrugs and continues to have it. Arjun must now accept this and her journey. Next is the story.
This film shows how deeply a person can love and how deep the scars are when that love ends. Everyone can relate to the story and characters.
Director’s message is clear. Acceptance and learning will help you watch the film peacefully. A tragedy teaches a flawed protagonist about life.
Everyone is Arjun. We want to live our own lives but hurt those we love. Arjun also irritates those close to him.
Ashok Selvan excelled. The actors are so good that you’ll love every character. Vidhu Ayyana’s cinematography, S Kamal Nathan’s art direction, and Navadevi.
Ravikumar’s costumes elevate the film. Music director Gopi Sundar gave this film life.
The dialogue will move and perplex you. Some scenes are peak performances, dialogue, and feelings. Shivathmika, Ritu Varma, and Aparna Balamurali deliver.
Arjun becomes a positive person by the film’s end. He matures and becomes like others, but he maintains his charm.
