‘Stranger Things’ Day celebrations includes cinematic screenings

  • November 6 is Stranger Things Day.
  • Netflix is making a big deal out of it.
  • The second episode of Season 4 will be shown on a big screen in select cities.

Around the corner is our first post-Season 4 Stranger Things Day, and Netflix is making a big deal out of it. Will Byers disappears on November 6, 1983, in the first Stranger Things episode, setting off a chain of events that would drag us into the Upside Down for years to come.

Since the premiere of the series in 2016, November 6 has become Stranger Things Day, which is observed by both viewers and the streamer.

This year, Netflix has given us a preview of the events we can look forward to this weekend, including live stream parties, new merchandise, and theatrical screenings.

The second episode of Season 4 of Stranger Things will be shown on a big screen for a select group of fortunate fans in several cities across North America.

For special screenings of these epic episodes, Netflix is collaborating with a few theatres in Los Angeles, New York, Miami, Atlanta, Houston, Dallas, Philadelphia, Chicago, Phoenix, San Francisco, Austin, Denver, Detroit, Cleveland, Washington DC, Seattle, Las Vegas, Jacksonville, and Toronto.

For the event, which will also feature costume contests, trivia, giveaways, and more, fans are also encouraged to dress up!

Fans can also celebrate by taking part in the Stranger Things Experience in Atlanta, Los Angeles, and London. With a perilous trip to Hawkins Lab, followed by a nostalgic 80s throwback as you explore Scoops Ahoy, Family Video, and the Palace Arcade and enjoy food and beverages inspired by the series, this year’s immersive experience captures both the terror and the delight of the show.

Additionally, you will be able to visit the Stranger Things Store in Miami, Dallas, or Paris, which will offer new merchandise, games from the Palace Arcade, and more.

Don’t worry if you’re not fortunate enough to live close to a Stranger Things Day in-person event. There are many ways to celebrate on Netflix’s website, including an immersive watch party on Roblox that lets you engage with the pilot episode of the show in a way that has never been possible before.

Netflix is celebrating online with new photo drops, interactive trivia games, and merchandise reveals starting at 8AM PT/11 AM ET. You can participate in Super Fan trivia at 2 PM PT/5 PM ET with a surprise special guest, and to top it all off, there will be a super secret reveal at 4 PM PT/7 PM ET.

New Stranger Things merchandise will soon be unveiled by the majority of major retailers, including Walmart, Target, Amazon, Lush, and Primark in association with companies like Funko, Eggo, Vans, and others.

High-end companies Moon Boot and Balmain are also planning to introduce new collections for the series, making for an even more opulent fan experience.

With a full week of reveals, Netflix will also be introducing exclusive merchandise in the Netflix Shop, including collectibles from Zero Card and fresh creations from Billy Butcher and Kyle Lambert.

Additionally, throughout the day, QVC+ will feature exclusive content, such as a behind-the-scenes look at the Stranger Things Experience.

The phenomenal ensemble cast of the Netflix series Stranger Things features Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Millie Bobby Brown, Noah Schnapp, Finn Wolfhard, Caleb McLaughlin, Gaten Matarazzo, Sadie Sink, Charlie Heaton, Natalia Dyer, Maya Hawke, and Joe Keery.

The series was created by Matt and Ross Duffer. The fifth and final season is currently in the writing phase; production is scheduled to start in 2023.

Netflix has Stranger Things seasons 1-4 available to stream, and November 6 is Stranger Things Day.
