Pakistan Foreign office said in a statement that Pakistan has congratulated the Russian people on the 75th Anniversary of Victory Day.
Foreign office spokes person Dr Aisha said in a Tweet, “In a letter to President Putin Prime Minister Imran Khan has lauded the unparalleled resolve & heroism of the Russian people and honored their sacrifices during WWII.”
“PM mentioned that people from present-day Pakistan formed a large part of the British war effort in WWII & made ultimate sacrifice. As world grapples with complex challenges, PM underlined the need to rekindle spirit that animated diverse nations & peoples to work for a common cause.” the statement added.
