• Capital police have geared up their preparations to combat the PTI march

• Around 30,000 security personnel will perform the security duties of Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Following the bugle of a long march sounded by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan yesterday, the capital police have geared up their preparations to combat the march.

As per sources in the know, the Islamabad Police have called a meeting of all IGs, DIGs and SSPs in this regard along with the zonal SSPs, DSPs and SHOs.

The meeting will discuss the government strategy to obstruct the procession of PTI and finalize the security plans.

Notably, the security plan was planned earlier by the Islamabad Police and it was said that around 30,000 security personnel will perform the security duties of Islamabad, while police, Rangers, FC, elite force and Sindh police personnel will be deployed for security.

25,000 additional personnel will be provided to the Islamabad Police to deal with the long march, while 50,000 rubber bullets will also be given to the police personnel.
