- England team has been named for the three-match ODI series
- James Vince makes a comeback after not playing for England in ODIs since July 2021’s domestic match against Pakistan.
- strong series in Australia could help him save his spot in the ODI squad.
The 15-person England team has been named for the three-match ODI series against Australia that begins on November 17.
For the ODI series, 11 of the 15 members of England’s T20 World Cup team will remain in Australia. Sam Billings, Jason Roy, Olly Stone, and James Vince are the four names travelling to Australia for the series.
Jason Roy, who didn’t reach the final 15 for the T20 World Cup, gets a spot in the ODI team. The 50-over World Cup is not too far away, but the brash opener has recently been out of touch. A strong series in Australia could help him save his spot in the ODI squad.
James Vince makes a comeback after not playing for England in ODIs since July 2021’s domestic match against Pakistan. The other two players who will go from England for the ODI series are Sam Billings and Olly Stone.
England is the pre-tournament favourite, and should they go to the T20 World Cup final, which will be held on November 13, they will only have four days before the ODI series.
