ISLAMABAD: The National Electric Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has approved a reduction of Rs 4.7 per unit in the price of electricity per unit for consumers at the request of Karachi Electric Supply Company (K-Electric).
According to the details, a meeting was held in NEPRA regarding the electricity tariff, in which electricity was reduced by Rs 4.70 per unit for the customers of K-Electric.
NEPRA said the decision will not apply to Lifeline customers, as K Electric generated electricity from its sources at a cost of over Rs 37.74 per unit.
It should be noted that K Electric had requested NEPRA to reduce the price of electricity by Rs 4.62 per unit in the context of the monthly fuel price adjustment for September.
