DERA GHAZI KHAN: A special court of anti terrorism of Dera Ghazi Khan has summoned Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah in a case pertaining to abduction, Bol News reported on Saturday.
Special Court Judge Bakht Fakhar Behzad summoned the interior minister and interior secretary over suspects’ fleeing abroad. He also issued unbailable arrest warrant of the director general Immigration and Passport department.
The special court directed the district police officer of Muzaffar Garh to arrest the DG Immigration and Passport department and produce him before the court.
“The cancer of ignoring court orders is spreading at higher level. There is no other way to maintain supremacy of the law and court orders,” Judge Bakht Fakhar Behzad said.

The court also sent order of stopping the director general’s salary to the Accountant General.
The orders were issued by the court while hearing case number 18/610 of Gaddai police station. Some suspects of the case fled abroad in contrast to the court order. The applicant had requested the court to place the suspects’ names in the Exit Control List.
On October 18, the Lahore High Court had sought a fresh report from National Accountability Bureau (NAB) regarding the investigation against interior minister Rana Sanaullah for possessing assets beyond income.
A two-member bench of Lahore High Court comprising Justice Shahbaz Ali Rizvi and Justice Asjad Javed had heard the request of the federal minister.
Advocate Amjad Pervaiz had represented Rana Sanaullah while Special Prosecutor Syed Faisal Raza Bukhari appeared in the court on behalf of the anti-graft watchdog.
The counsel for Rana Sanuallah had told the court that the case has been pending for three years and a fresh response should be sought from NAB. He had said the application was filed in 2019 but the investigation was not complete.
The court had directed Special Prosecutor to submit a fresh report from the NAB authorities at the next hearing. The hearing had been adjourned till November 2.
Rana Sanaullah had submitted a petition stating that NAB has started an inquiry regarding assets in excess of income.
