ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) said on Saturday that the hearing on the plea submitted by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) against the Election Commission (ECP) verdict will be held on Monday (October, 24).

Earlier today, PTI submitted the plea against the ECP verdict – that disqualified Imran Khan in the Toshakhana reference – requesting the court for a hearing today.

However, the IHC said that the hearing will be held on Monday.

It is pertinent to mention here that PTI being displeased over the verdict, announced to approach the high court with hopes of a decision in their favour.

PTI leaders expressed rage over the verdict terming it brutal. The court was requested to declare in ECP verdict null and void.

Barrister Ali Zafar filed the petition on the behalf of former Prime Minister Imran Khan. The Register Office raised several objections to Imran Khan’s plea.

He objected that a certified copy of Imran Khan’s disqualification decision was not attached to the petition while the former prime minister did not get biometric verification.
