ISLAMABAD: Chairman Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan has filed a petition in the Islamabad High Court (IHC) challenging his disqualification in the Toshakhana reference by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
The court was requested to declare in ECP verdict null and void.
Barrister Ali Zafar filed the petition on the behalf of former Prime Minister Imran Khan and requested to the court hear the case today.
The Register Office raised several objections to Imran Khan’s plea.
He objected that a certified copy of Imran Khan’s disqualification decision was not attached to the petition while the former prime minister did not get biometric verification.

Earlier, Former Prime Minister Imran Khan has called a meeting of legal experts to review the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) decision in Toshakhana reference and to file a petition in this regard.
According to the details, a petition has been prepared against the Election Commission’s decision, after which Chairman PTI Imran Khan has called a meeting of lawyers and experts.
In the meeting, Imran Khan will be briefed on the decision of the Election Commission and after the final approval from Imran Khan, the petition will be submitted.
