KARACHI: The 2023 World Test Championship Final will take place at The Oval in June 2023, and the 2025 World Test Championship Final will be held at Lord’s.
The first final between India and New Zealand was played in Southampton in 2021; the two London venues will take its place. In the opening match of the World Test Championship, New Zealand won.
The World Test Championship final, which will take place at The Oval in June 2023, will include the top two teams. The Oval previously hosted the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy finals for both the 2004 and 2017 editions.
The top two teams in the standings, Australia and South Africa, are being pursued by a number of other teams in an effort to pass them.
With 60% of the points, South Africa is in second place, ahead of Australia with 70%. Australia and South Africa will also compete against one another in a three-match series in December and January in the current cycle. The outcome of this game may significantly affect the final point totals.
Sri Lanka (53.33%), India (52.08%), and Pakistan (51.85%) have the top three scores. Because there are still many series left in the current cycle, there may be numerous changes to the points standings before the two finalists are decided.
The Lord’s in London, where the upcoming edition’s Final will take place, has previously hosted the 2019 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup final in addition to other notable ICC matches.
