KARACHI: Ameer Jamat-e-Islami (JI) Hafiz Naeem warned K-Electric on Thursday against the additional charges in the bills adding that the nation would not pay the bills.
He was addressing a press conference in Karachi when said that the spike in the electricity bills, duties, and other charges has left the nation in agony.
Hafiz Naeem also said that till 2004, Naimat Ullah Khan didn’t impose any charges on the bills and he worked with honesty for the recovery of taxes for KMC that resulted in the development of Karachi.
The JI Ameer also said that if the additional charges from electricity bills are not removed then the citizens will not pay the bills adding that the additional charges are an injustice to the people of Karachi.
He while lambasting other political parties said that no one is raising a voice against the grave issue naming PTI, PML-N and PPP.
