When Prince William recorded his speech at the Earthshot Prize Innovation Summit, he thought of Queen Elizabeth.
“Protecting the environment was a cause close to my Grandmother’s heart, and I know she would have been delighted to hear about this event and the support you are all giving our Earthshot Finalists – the next generation of environmental pioneers,” the Prince of Wales said in a video posted on his social media accounts.
At the age of 96, the Queen passed away and was buried next to Prince Philip.
Following the passing of his mother, Charles, William’s father, ascended to the throne of England.
