Imran Khan does not commit any illegal work in Toshakhana: says Asad Umar

KARACHI: Former Federal Minister Asad Umar has said that Chairman Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf Imran Khan has not done any illegal work in the Toshakhana case.

In his Twitter message, Tehreek-e-Insaaf leader Asad Umar demanded the release of details of Toshakhana.

Asad Umar has said that Imran Khan will submit his answer with all the documentary evidence in the Toshakhana case and everyone will see that he has not committed any unlawful act.

He asked in his message when will the record of the last 20 years of Toshakhana be placed before the nation so that everyone knows who has been doing what?

It should be noted that on behalf of Imran Khan, a reply was submitted to the Election Commission of Pakistan in the Toshakhana case, after which the hearing was adjourned till September 19.

However, the next hearing of the Toshakhana reference will be held on Monday, September 19, in the Election Commission, in which the Commission will announce its decision.

Earlier, Former Prime Minister Imran Khan submitted the answer to the Election Commission, which consists of 60 pages.

According to the answer, 329 gifts were received during the three and a half years of Imran’s government, while 58 gifts of Toshakhana were received by former Prime Minister Imran Khan and his wife.

Apart from this, a total of 14 gifts worth more than 30,000 were received by the former prime minister and his wife.

It has been stated in the reply that four units of Toshakhana gifts were sold while more than 30 million were paid for Toshakhana gifts.

Established in 1974, the Tosha­khana is a department under the administrative control of the Cabinet Division and stores precious gifts given to rulers, parliamentarians, bureaucrats, and officials by heads of other governments and states and foreign dignitaries.
