Princess Kate Middleton and Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle will not attend the vigil on Saturday evening with their husbands Prince William and Harry because they are separated from one other.
A representative for Kensington Palace stated that, “The Prince of Wales will stand at the Head, the Duke of Sussex at the Foot.”
The spokesman further said, “At the King’s request, they will both be in uniform.”
The spokesman stated that their spouses will not be present during the vigil.
Eight of the Queen’s grandchildren, including Prince William and Prince Harry, will keep vigil for 15 minutes at her casket.
To allow for public mourning of the late monarch, Elizabeth’s casket will lay in state at Westminster Hall in London until Monday.
