ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad police on Saturday summoned Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan again to appear before the joint investigation team (JIT) in the terrorism case against him.
The notice was issued to the former prime minister after he failed to appear before the JIT for the probe in the terrorism case against him for threatening Judge Zeba Chaudhry in a public rally.
The notice holds that Khan is on bail in the case till September 12 and the bail was granted on the condition that Khan will cooperate in the investigation and should appear before the investigation team at 5pm today.
“However, in this case, the former prime minister was not cooperating with the JIT and violating the condition,” the notice added.
Earlier, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) also ordered the PTI Chief to join the police investigation in the terror case registered against him.
It is pertinent to mention here that an Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) extended the interim pre-arrest bail of Imran Khan till September 12.
Notably, the terrorism case was registered against Imran Khan for allegedly threatening Additional Session Judge Zeba Chaudhry during the public rally in Islamabad on August 20.
