- Biographer Dr Andrew Lownie says the Duke of York needs to do something quickly.
Before the end of 2022, Prince Andrew is asked to resolve his civil dispute with Virginia Giuffre. According to a royal specialist, the upcoming civil lawsuit against the Duke of York clearly isn’t going away” and needs to be resolved quickly.
Dr. Andrew Lownie, a biographer, said in a statement to The Royal Beat: “I’m not aware, but it strikes me as an outsider that he’s up there to confer with his mother to sort out what they’re going to do.
“The policy at the moment seems to be to do nothing in the hope the problem goes away, and it’s clearly not going to go away and as you say, he will be served or he will be forced to do something by the end of the year.
“So they need to do something and they don’t seem to me, to be the behavior of a man who is innocent.”
Giuffre and Andrew reached an out-of-court settlement earlier this year in which Andrew paid her a sizable sum of money to end claims of sexual abuse.
