During their time off duty, three Dutch commandos who were in the United States for training were injured in a shooting that took place outside of a hotel in the city of Indianapolis.

The incident took place in the city’s entertainment area at about 03:30 on Saturday local time.

The three guys were located by authorities with gunshot wounds, and they were transported to surrounding hospitals, according to the Indianapolis Police Department.

The Dutch Ministry of Defense said that one of the guys was in a serious condition, while the other two were aware and in stable condition.

According to what was found, all three of them served in the Commando Corps, which is one of the special operations formations of the Royal Netherlands Army.

According to the ministry, the shooting took place in the area in front of the hotel where the individuals were staying during their spare time.

The local police said that they had a strong suspicion that the males had been involved in a previous incident with another individual or group.

An officer with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said, while speaking to FOX59, that the information they are willing to release at this time is that it was not anything that happened within the hotel. “We suspect it was an earlier altercation that took place at another site.”

The Dutch Ministry of Defense said that the families of the soldiers had been notified, and that an inquiry was being carried out by the local police. No arrests have been made.
