PM vows to take actions against Racketeers over Sugar, Wheat Crisis
Earlier on April 4, Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has submitted the inquiry report on wheat and sugar crisis to the Prime Minister that includes names of top political families.
According to the details, the report states that the major cause of the wheat crisis is the lack of planning by the federal and provincial governments.
I await the detailed forensic reports now by the high-powered commission, which will come out on 25 April, before taking action. InshaAllah, after these reports come out no powerful lobby will be able to profiteer at the expense of our public.

As per the reort, PTI stalwart Jahangir Tareen benefited from the crisis, Federal Minister of National Food Security and Research Khusro Bakhtiar’s brother, and Moonis Elahi’s companies profited the most from the sugar crisis.
The report said that Punjab Food Department had started collecting wheat 20-22 days late due to which Punjab Food Department failed to manage Flour Mills.
The report states that Punjab Food Minister Samiullah Chaudhry is responsible for not taking steps in the Food Department in view of the situation, whereas the responsibility of getting less wheat in Sindh cannot be blamed on any individual. No decision has been made on the summary.
