The Federal Cabinet on Monday approved the appointment of Nausheen Javed as the new Chief of Federal Board of Revenue.
In the absence of the former FBR chief Shabbar Zaidi, the officer had taken charge as acting chair of the revenue body back in February.
Ms Nausheen, who is from Inland Revenue Services, was performing as the acting chief of the tax collection authority since Zaidi went on leave for indefinite period due to his illness.
