ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Hammad Azhar said on Tuesday that the recent economic crisis in Pakistan is because of the incumbent government.
He was addressing a presser here that many countries in the world have been benefitting from the cheap Russian oil but the incumbent government refused the offer causing skyrocketing inflation.
“The way they have been steering the country would lead to nowhere but only loss,” he added.
The PTI leader also said that the interest rate and inflation have touched the highest while the industries are at a loss and oil and power prices have jumped. “The nation has been paying the price of the incompetence of the current government.”
Hammad Azhar also said that PTI can foresee a recession in the near future adding that the economy was striving at 6% in PTI’s era.
The PTI leader underscored that the government is unable to handle the situation and has pushed the country’s politics and economy towards darkness.
“The country is in need of a new mandate. We are not demanding anything beyond the law and constitution,” he added.
The PTI leader reiterated that the government should let the nation decide its future and must stop the politics of closed rooms. He also said that Imran Khan has announced that the campaigning against the imported government will spread across the country in the coming days.
