- The much-anticipated film Brahmastra, in which Bollywood star couple Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt would make their debut on-screen appearance, is the latest victim of cancel culture.
- The film was supposed to include the duo’s first on-screen appearance.
The reason given for the opposition to Ranbir’s next movie is that he appeared in PK alongside Aamir Khan, a movie that was criticised for being offensive to Hindu deities, and this is the reason given for the opposition to Ranbir’s movie.

It remains to be seen whether the campaigns to boycott the movie will have an impact on its box office receipts, as the movie is expected to be one of the most successful releases of 2022.
