Fewer coronavirus cases reported in past 24 hours: Dr Mirza

Dr Zafar Mirza Special Assistant to Prime Minister Imran Khan on Health said on Monday in a press conference that fewer cases of the novel coronavirus were reported in the past 24 hours as compared the last few days.

Dr Zafar Mirza was addressed a media briefing , along with Dr Moeed Yusuf  SAPM on National Security and National Disaster Management Authority Chairman Lt Gen Mohammad Afzal.

In the press conference, Dr Mirza said that coronavirus has claimed 21 lives in Pakistan so far. Of these deaths five were reported in last24 hours.

“In the upcoming days, there will be a rise in the number of recovered patients,” he said. 99 cases were reported since Sunday. Dr Mirza further said that 7,507 people have been quarantined in different parts of the country.

“In hospitals, out of 783 cases, 773 are improving and expected to get well soon,” said the SAPM. “Only 10 patients are in a critical condition,” he added.
