The Armed Forces of Ukraine will be better equipped to defend themselves from Russia’s indiscriminate use of artillery thanks to this weaponry,
Along with drones and more than 1,600 additional anti-tank weaponry, including hundreds of loitering aerial explosives, the UK will also supply these items in the upcoming weeks.
The General Staff recalled that 6,900 NLAW, Javelin, Brimstone, and other anti-tank weaponry had already been supplied to Ukraine, along with 16,000 artillery rounds, six Stormer vehicles outfitted with Starstreak anti-air missile launchers, and hundreds of missiles.
Additionally, the UK has provided 120 armoured fighting vehicles, multiple launch rocket systems, maritime Brimstone missiles, and a significant amount of non-lethal equipment, including as more than 82,000 helmets, 8,450 sets of body armour, and more than 5,000 night vision gear.
The General Staff noted that Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s June announcement that the United Kingdom would give Ukraine an additional £1 billion in military assistance prompted the increase in help.
